My desire is to engage with humans on a large scale using an interactive installation that will hopefully make viewers be introspective about time and death.
My desire is to engage with humans on a large scale using an interactive installation that will hopefully make viewers be introspective about time and death. Since the images being captured are not stored or recorded after they traverse around the room. Ending where it started, a life cycle of the data gathered that parallels our own life. We start dispersed energy, a slow vibration that is matter and we end as the same dispersed energy returning to the exact place where we started. Our lives are filled with fleeting moments, memories that only live within ourselves, much like the images in this installation will live in the memories of the viewers. Every image is completely different and will never be repeated since the image is generated from data that is collected and not stored.
In order to accomplish this I need to workout some of the coding kinks that presented themselves after the first iteration of this project. There were also some mechanical issues that need to be resolved on a smaller scale before taking this to the next step.
- Re-configure linkage
- Wireless communication between controller and LED board
- Wireless communication between controller and motor
- Figure out how to use directional data for RGB LED color
- Figure out how to use velocity data for RGB LED color
- Figure out how to use speed data for RGB LED color
- Figure out what “chaos” means for RGB LED color
- Make adjustments to the pendulum components
